TRAKIA
Large-part travelling-column milling center built for long strokes and heavy engagement. Stable double-column rigidity and fast rapids cut non-cut time, while composed motion and steady cutting loads help protect tolerances and surface quality at scale.
- Long-stroke productivity for oversized plates and weldments
- Double-column rigidity for stable roughing and finishing
- High-speed rapids to reduce positioning time on large envelopes

Overview
Large-Format Travelling Column Milling Center
The TRAKIA series is MILCO Ltd’s largest travelling-column machining platform, engineered for oversized parts requiring extreme rigidity and long-distance accuracy.
With X-axis strokes from 6,000 to 25,000 mm, a reinforced double-column structure, and high dynamic performance, TRAKIA is built for industries such as energy, construction machinery, shipbuilding, transport, and heavy engineering.
High-speed axis movement, large working volumes, and a powerful BIG-PLUS ISO50 spindle enable efficient machining of very large plates, beams, weldments, and deep structures.
Key Features – TRAKIA
Extended Axis Capacities
X: 6000–25000 mm
Y: 3000–3500 mm
Z: 1500–1750 mm
High-Speed Rapids Movement
Up to 35 m/min on X and 30 m/min on Y/Z for fast cycles.

Applications
General machining
Mixed prototype and production work across sizes; flexible envelopes and quick changeovers speed setups, reduce handling, and keep output consistent day to day.
Capital goods
Industrial equipment components from plates and frames to precision shafts and housings; scalable platforms and stable processes preserve accuracy over long runs.
Energy
Pump and valve components, compressor parts, and auxiliary housings; controlled cutting and chip/coolant management help protect tolerances, surface finish, and tool life.
Oil & Gas
Valve bodies, manifolds, housings, and high-integrity flanges; robust machining strategies and chip/coolant control help maintain tolerances in demanding alloys.
Wind energy
Drivetrain and auxiliary components including hubs, seats, flanges, and structural parts; rigid setups and stable processes sustain accuracy, finish, and tool life across long runs.
Railway
Frames, brackets, axlebox housings, and brake components; rigid machining and effective chip evacuation keep geometry and flatness consistent on large parts.
Defense
Housings, carriers, and structural parts in high-strength alloys; stable machining conditions and verified datums deliver repeatable accuracy under heavy cuts.
