Overview
GS-8000 Series Heavy Duty Super Size Turning Centers
GS-8000 Series is built for large, heavy workpieces where rigidity, torque, and stable geometry are critical. The platform combines a wide-span bed structure with box ways to support demanding cuts over long cycles.
At the core is a high-power spindle system driven by a 3-speed gearbox, designed to deliver strong torque for heavy stock removal. This supports stable cutting forces and predictable results on oversized diameters.
The working envelope is sized for large chuck work and long parts. GS-8000 supports up to Ø1,030 mm swing, Ø970 mm max turning diameter, and multiple bed lengths up to 6,200 mm, with chuck options from 18″ and larger.
For extended capability, the series offers optional C-axis and an optional Y-axis package. The Y travel is specified as ±160 mm (total 320 mm), enabling off-center machining and more flexible tool approach on complex large components.
