Circular Economy Transition at MILCO Ltd under Bulgaria’s Recovery and Resilience Plan
MILCO Ltd is implementing a project under the Economic Transformation Programme within Bulgaria’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan, aimed at accelerating the transition to a circular economy by introducing circular resource-use models and climate-neutral methods and technologies across production and consumption activities.
The project is delivered under call BG-RRP-3.008 “Support for the Transition to a Circular Economy in Enterprises”. It targets both the transformation of production processes to improve resource efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and the expansion of production capacity through the deployment of modern, high-efficiency equipment.
Key implementation steps include commissioning a CNC horizontal grinder, a CNC vertical grinder, and a balancing machine. These investments are expected to increase productivity and precision, reduce waste per unit of output, lower scrap rates, and shorten processing time across critical production stages.
